5th Golf Events 18 Enterprise & Marine Charity Tournament
On Sunday, 10 May 2026, IGMAR Group participated as Official Sponsor of the 5th anniversary Charity Golf Tournament "Golf Events 18 Enterprise & Marine", held at the Glyfada Golf Club. The event brought together more than 650 guests and 150 players from the shipping and business community, united around a single purpose: providing meaningful support to families with newborns across Greece through the association "Mazi gia to Paidi" (Together for the Child).
Now in its fifth year, the Golf Events 18 Enterprise & Marine tournament holds a recognised position on the Greek maritime and business calendar. What began as a focused gathering for professionals from the shipping sector has grown into one of the most attended charity events of its kind in the country, drawing participants who return year after year driven as much by the cause as by the competition.
The charitable beneficiary of the 2026 edition was "Mazi gia to Paidi", an association dedicated to supporting children and their families during the earliest and most critical stages of life. Its work is grounded in a recognition that the conditions and support available in a child's first weeks and months carry consequences that reach far into the future. All proceeds from the event, including those raised through a Charity Lottery held during the Gala Dinner, were directed in full to the association.
As Official Sponsor, IGMAR Group's involvement went beyond what a standard sponsorship arrangement typically involves. A direct portion of the Group's contribution was allocated to "Mazi gia to Paidi", ensuring that IGMAR's participation translated into concrete support for the children and families the association serves. The Charity Gala Dinner brought the day's programme to a close in a setting that gathered guests, players, and sponsors for the final part of the event. The evening included the formal recognition of the sponsors whose contributions had made the tournament possible. Each was presented with an honorary plaque in acknowledgement of their role. Angela Spanopoulos accepted the plaque on behalf of IGMAR Group.
